Women and Freedom

Like men, women have been created free and desire to live without the intrusion of others. The inclination for freedom is a natural and legitimate desire.   Islam respects the freedom of women and observes it in its legislation, provided that it is not contrary to the true interests of the collective human society.   Freedom to Work Islam regards women as one of the two pillars of the society and has given them various responsibilities. Women cannot and must not be useless constituents of the society. Islam regards work as an obligation and a superior form of worship. The Messenger of Allah (S) has stated: قال رسول الله (ص): «العبادةُ سَبْعُونَ جزءً أفضلها طَلَبُ الحَلال.» “Worship has seventy elements; the noblest of which is endeavoring to gain legitimate income." According to Islam, working is not a right but a duty and men and women are no different in this regard. Women must also perform their social duties and they are free in choosing their occupation. MATHEMATICAL MIRACLE of QURAN

ONE DAY The word “a day” (yewm:یوم) is used 365 times in the Quran. The figure 365 does not only represent the number of days in the calendar, but it is also the figure that shows the astronomical relationship between our world and the sun. When our world completes its turn around the sun, it has revolved 365 times around its own axis. In other words, when the world has completed its cycle around the sun, this means we have lived 365 days on earth. It is important that the word “a day” is used 365 times in the Quran, because the world’s revolution around the sun takes 365 days. Month of RAJAB

Rajab  marks the beginning of the spiritual season of every believer ending with the end of the fasting month of Ramadan with the Eid Al Fitr. These three months are unmatched in their importance.  These are some useful points for this month: 1. Fasting It is highly recommended to fast in this month of Rajab even for one day at least. A hadith stated by holy Prophet (PBUH): “Whosoever fasts a day in Rajab, the fire of the Hell will be away from him a distance of one year’s journey, and whosoever fasts 3 days in Rajab, will be entitled for the Paradise.” 2. Seeking Forgiveness  The Prophet (PBUH) used to say: Rajab is a month of seeking forgiveness, so seek forgiveness from Allah; He is verily the Forgiver, the Merciful. It is highly recommended to repeat ‘Astaghfirullaah’. 3. Charity (Sadaqa) There is a big reward for  charity  in the month of Rajab. Those who cannot fast may give  charity  to the poor every day. LION OF ALLAH...

Those who Show-off

It is concluded from the authentic traditions that one who tries to show-off in religious matters is a mushrik and a hypocrite. He is inevitably condemned to Divine punishment. It is one and the same whether his show-off concerns the obligatory acts or the recommended acts. Similarly he may simply exhibit outward piety or his aim may be to acquire honour and respect among the people. Even if he has a dual aim (of showing off and fulfilling his obligation) his act is classified as Shirk. A few Qur’anic verses are quoted for the benefit of the readers: 1) “Surely the hypocrites strive to deceive Allah, and He shall requite their deceit to them, and when they stand up sluggishly; they do it only to be seen of men and do not remember Allah save a little. Wavering between that (and this), (belonging) neither to these nor to those.”   (Surah an-Nisā’ 4:142) 2) “So woe to the praying ones, who are unmindful of their prayers, who do (good) to be seen.”  (Surah Ma’ūn 107:4-...

Hygiene in Islam

The Holy Prophet (S) said: "There are three traits which Allah loves (in people): briefness in speech, short (length) of sleep, and small (portion) of food; while there are three traits which He dislikes (in them): loquaciousness, oversleeping, and overeating." The Holy Prophet (S) said: "Try to be clean as much as you are able to. Verily, Allah has based the foundation of Islam on cleanliness; hence, never can a person enter Paradise but the clean ones." Kanz-ul-'Ummal, Tradition 26002 Amir ul Mu'mineen ‘Ali (‘a) told Imam Hasan (‘a) : "Shall I teach you four traits by which you will be in no need of any medical treatment?" "Yes," Imam Hasan answered. Then, ‘Ali (‘a) said: Do not sit for food (in order to eat) unless you are hungry; And, do not leave the (table of) food but you still have an appetite for it; Chew (your food in your mouth) well; And, when you want to go to bed, (primarily) go to the water-closet to eas...

Parents in Islam

[A person once approached the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) and said: “I have an old father and mother, who due to their attachment towards me, are not keen for me to go to Jihad.”] [Hearing this], the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) said: “(If such is the case then) Stay with your parents for, by the One in whose control lies my soul, their attachment of one day and one night to you is better than one year of Jihad.” The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said: “One, who follows the orders of Allah with regards to obeying parents, shall have two doors of Paradise opened up for him. And if there happens to ...

Ayah kareema

Translation And when anyone greets you in a respectful manner, greet him with a better salutation than his or at least return the same. Commentary The Muslims were specially exhorted to be very civil and polite to the non-Muslims because at that time their relations were strained on account of the conflict between them. In that state of tension, they were forewarned to be on their guard against incivility and impoliteness. They were, therefore, taught to be equally civil and polite to them when they greeted them respectfully. Nay, they should be even more civil and polite than their opponents. Harsh behavior and harsh words do no good to anyone but they are specially unsuited to the work of those missionaries of Allah's Message, who have dedicated themselves to one day invite the world to the Truth and exerted themselves to...
Islam is the way of life for those who believe in God and want to live a life in worship and obedience to none but God.    There is no deity except Allah. He is indivisible and absolutely transcendent. God is the Almighty, the Creator and the Sustainer of the universe, Who is similar to nothing and nothing is comparable to Him.  The primary sources of knowledge are the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad. Anyone wanting to live a life in worship and obedience to God should follow these teachings.
